Remove turnip greens, and store turnips loosely wrapped in a paper towel or kitchen towel in the crisper drawer in the fridge.
Store turnip greens wrapped in a damp paper towel in an airtight container or bag in the fridge.
To freeze turnips, wash, peel and chop into cubes. Freeze cubes on a cookie sheet until firm, then place in an airtight bag or container and return to the freezer.
To freeze greens, wash, chop, blanch for about a minute, quickly cool in an ice bath, squeeze out excess water, pack into an airtight bag or container, and place in freezer.
